Activities Buddy – ref BUR10 (29/8/16)

When – 2–3 hours one morning a week                                                                                                    
Role – To support lady to go out for coffee  
Tasks – To visit with lady and accompany out for coffee and enable her to attend activities in her local area. To provide social contact and reduce isolation. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend Adult Protection training and reviews.
Skills required – Awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties (wheelchair user) and a hearing impairment desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Walking Buddy – ref BUR17 (5/7/17)

When – 2–3 hours once a week                                                                                                    
Role – To accompany gentleman out for walks
Tasks – To accompany gentleman out walking with his dog and support to engage in local activities. To provide social contact and reduce isolation. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with a learning disability desirable but not essential. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref BUR19 (9/10/17)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                          
Role – To support lady at home and in her local community  
Tasks – To visit with lady and encourage her to bring order to her house. To support to go out for walks in the community with her dog. To provide social contact over cuppa and chat. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mental health issues and mobility difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Home/Walking Buddy – ref BUR20 (23/4/18)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                       
Role – To visit with gentleman and support to go out walking
Tasks – To visit with gentleman in his own home and support to go out for short walks in the community. To provide social contact and give main carer a break. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties, dementia and a hearing impairment desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Home Buddy – ref BUR21 (5/6/18)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                           
Role – To visit with lady in her own home  
Tasks – To visit with lady in her own home for coffee and chat. To support lady to explore hobbies and interests. To provide social contact and alleviate loneliness. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with low mood and anxiety issues desirable but not essential. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref BUR22 (12/6/18)

When – 2 – 3 hours one morning a week                                                                                                           
Role – To visit with lady and support to go out in the community  
Tasks – To visit with lady in her own home and support to explore activities in the local community/go for coffee.  Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
