Walking Buddy – ref BUR17 (5/7/17)

When – 2–3 hours once a week                                                                                                    
Role – To accompany gentleman out for walks
Tasks – To accompany gentleman out walking with his dog and support to engage in local activities. To provide social contact and reduce isolation. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with a learning disability desirable but not essential. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref BUR23 (15/8/18)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                       ~
Role – To support lady to go out in the community
Tasks – To support lady to go out in the local community or to visit at home. To provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with a visual impairment  desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref BUR24 (3/9/18)

When – 2 hours once a week/fortnight                                                                                                       
Role – To support lady to go out in the community
Tasks – To visit with lady at home and support to go out in the community for coffee or for a drive. To visit places that are of interest to her. To provide social contact and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council
