All of our volunteering opportunities require either a PVG (Buddies and Day Services) or Standard Disclosure (Alarm Responders) which will be paid for by Moray Council.  We also require volunteers to be reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, able to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  Training is available including Adult Protection.

Home Buddy – ref HO14 (re-opened 22/9/21)

When – 2 hours once a week (male preferred)       
Role – To visit with lady in her own home  
Tasks – To visit with lady in her own home for coffee and chat. To provide social contact and reduce isolation. 
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with a hearing impairment desirable but not essential. An interest in gardening would be beneficial. 

Admin Buddy – ref HO19 (21/3/22) (Duffus)

When – 1 hour once a week                    
Role – To support gentleman with administration  
Tasks – To support gentleman to manage correspondence and bills
Skills required – An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties desirable but not essential

Social Buddy – ref HO21 (2/12/22)

When – 2 hours once a week    
Role – To support lady to attend local activities
Tasks – To support lady to attend activities in her local area. To provide social contact  
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with dementia, mobility difficulties and a hearing impairment desirable but not essential

Social Buddy – ref HO27 (2/7/24)

When – 2 hours once a week                  
Role
– To visit with male in his own home  
Tasks – To visit with gentleman at home providing social contact over cuppa and chat. To support to go out when health permits         
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties  desirable but not essential
