Activities/Social Buddy – ref LHAN20 (reopened 27/3/18)

When – 2 hours once a week                                                                                                           
Role – To support gentleman to go out in the community  
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and support him to go out in the local community for coffee. To explore activities that may be of interest to him. To provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with a learning difficulty desirable but not essential. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Home/Social Buddy – ref LHAN25 (1/11/18)

When – 2 hours once a week
Role – To visit with gentleman in his own home
Tasks – To visit with gentleman in his own home for coffee and chat.  To provide social contact and reduce social isolation. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An interest in clocks would be beneficial.  Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref LHAN26 (8/2/19)

When – 2 – 3 hours once a fortnight                                                                                                       
Role – To support gentleman to go out in the community
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and support to attend activities that are of interest to him. To provide social contact and improve emotional wellbeing. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties, visual impairment and mental health issues desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Home Buddy – ref LHAN27 (28/2/19)

When – 1 hour once a week                                                                                                    
Role – To visit with lady in her own home  
Tasks – To  visit with lady for coffee and chat. To provide social contact and promote emotional well-being. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend Adult Protection training and reviews.
Skills required – Awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties, memory issues and low mood desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council
