Social Buddy – ref MOSS16 (5/12/18)

When – 3 hours once a week (male preferred)
Role – To visit with gentleman and accompany out in the community
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and accompany out for walks and drives. To  provide social contact. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of difficulties experienced by people with mental health issues desirable but not essential. Training provided. Caring nature, patience, and good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Shopping/Social Buddy – ref KIN02 (5/12/18)

When – 2 hours once a week (in Kingston)
Role – To accompany gentleman to go shopping
Tasks – To visit with gentleman and accompany out shopping. To provide social interaction. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with mobility difficulties and visual impairment desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council

Social Buddy – ref GA04 (5/2/19)

When – 3 ½ hours on a Monday afternoon                                                                                                    
Role – To support lady to attend a club in Elgin from Garmouth
Tasks – To drive lady to Elgin social club and provide companionship and reassurance while there. Observe policies and procedures, maintain boundaries, attend training and reviews.
Skills required – An awareness of the difficulties experienced by people with dementia and mobility issues desirable but not essential. Training provided. Patience, good communication skills, reliable and committed, trustworthy and respectful, ability to maintain boundaries and follow policies and procedures.  PVG check required, paid for by Moray Council
