Tenant Participation Strategy

The introduction of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 gave all local authorities a duty to develop and implement a strategy for tenant participation.  Our first strategy was developed in 2003.  Our current Tenant Participation Strategy was approved by the Housing and Community Safety Committee on 7 May 2024 for the period 2024-2029.  It includes an action plan which is reviewed each year.

Tenant participation is about tenants taking part in decision making processes and influencing decisions about housing policies, conditions and related services.  Find out more about how you can get involved.
