Elgin High School - Schools for the Future
Brief Project Description
The project is to replace Elgin High School in order to address significant condition and suitability issues which require provision of enhanced and additional facilities.
The provision of new school facilities for Elgin High contributes to the following outcomes in this programme:
- Healthier citizens
- Ambitious and confident children and young people
- Employability and employment skills
Elgin High School is a six year comprehensive serving a mix of urban and rural catchment areas. The new school should reflect high standards and the aspirations of the whole school community. It should provide high quality facilities that will inspire both staff and young people to achieve their full potential. There should also be high quality sports and performance space for use by the school and the local community.
The timeline is still to be finalised but it is hoped that construction will commence in Spring 2014 with handover in the summer term of 2015.
