Establishments handling products of animal origin may need to be approved by us or Food Standards Scotland (FSS approved establishments | Food Standards Scotland).

These include:

• fish processors
• meat processors
• meat preparation plants
• minced meat processing operations and mechanically separated meat processing plants
• cold stores
• milk and egg processing plants
