Single Person's Discount Review

Single Person Discount is awarded to any person who resides in a property alone.  It reduces the amount of the Council Tax bill by twenty-five percent. 

Moray  Council periodically reviews its Single Person Discount awards to ensure that these are correct. Each year local authorities receive a high volume of applications for Single Person discount. It is important that this discount is only awarded when it is correct to do so. The review will permit us to check that each award of discount is correct and to protect the public purse.
