Please be advised that due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic it will be unlikely that requests are answered within their respective statutory time-scales. The Council is working hard to ensure that resources are focused on delivering and supporting essential services. We appreciate your cooperation during this unprecedented situation.
The Council provides a wide range of services for the benefit of the local community. These include welfare services such as social work, education and housing to licensing and regulatory functions such as planning, alcohol licensing and trading standards.
Full details of these services can be found on the A – Z, which can be found on the banner at the top of this page.
In performing these services the Council collects a large amount of information; it also holds a lot of information in the form of minutes, reports, committee papers and policies. The Council is committed to making as much of this information available to the public through its website and the Publication Scheme.
