Moray Bothy - Cooper Park Active Travel Hub
The Bothy is a partnership project aiming to create opportunities for everyone to find it easier to walk or cycle as part of their daily life. Part of the Cycling UK Bothy programme is working with local communities to bring together organisations that promote walking and cycling activities and providing any additional opportunities that are required to help people get active on wheels or by foot. The Moray Bothy focuses on promoting and delivering accessible and inclusive cycling and walking opportunities for all.
The Bothy is located at Cooper Park, opposite the play park, and offers a range of active travel activities including ebike loan schemes; 1:1 sessions; led bike rides; knowledge and support for new riders; confidence building sessions; bike maintenance checks; and Health Walks.
Open to the public two days a week and every second Saturday, opening times are updated monthly via the Cycling UK Moray Facebook page. All ages, groups and abilities are welcome to visit the Bothy.
The Bothy is funded by HITRANS and Transport Scotland on behalf of Moray Council by Cycling UK.
