Become a member and discover our wide range of resources and join in our fun, family-friendly events. Whether you live, work or study in Moray, you can join for free and use any of our eleven libraries.
We have a wide range of memberships available that cater for adults, juniors and groups. Take a look through the membership options:
How do I join?
Visit a library in Moray or apply online.
What will I need to join?
You’ll need to show proof of your home address as well as a student card or staff pass, if you live outside of Moray.
What happens next?
You will need to go to into your local library to get your card and PIN. This PIN will give you access to the e-resources where you will be able to manage your account, reserve library material and access ebooks, eaudiobooks and much more.

How do I join?
Your parent, guardian or carer will need to apply on your behalf by completing a form at a library or online.
What do I need to join?
You don’t need anything, so just pop along with your parent, guardian or carer.
What happens next?
You’ll need to go to into your local library to get your card and PIN. This PIN will give you access to the e-resources where you will be able to manage your account and reserve library material.

How do I join?
You will need to complete an application form at a Moray Library.
What do I need to join?
You will need proof of your home address and a deposit of £10. The deposit will be refunded once all the books have been returned.
What happens next?
You will need to go to into a library to get your card and PIN. This PIN will give you access to the e-resources, where you will be able to manage your account, reserve library material, access online references and much more.

How do I join?

You can either apply online or a carer can apply on your behalf at any Moray Library.
What do I need to join?
You will need to show proof of your home address.
What happens next?
You or your carer can pick up your card and PIN at your local library. This PIN will give you access to the e-resources where you will be able to manage your account, reserve library material and access ebooks, eaudiobooks and much more.

How do we join?
The care home or day centre manager will need to complete the form and contact the local library to set up an account.
What do we need to join?
You will need to write a letter on headed paper from your establishment or show a staff pass showing the name of your centre.
What will happen next?
A library account will be set up and you can collect the card once the details are on the system. Then you can visit a library to choose your own material or a quarterly delivery service can be organised. Please email your local library to set this up.

How do we join?
The team leader can complete a form and contact a library to set up an account.
What do we need to join?
You will need to write a letter on headed paper from your establishment or bring in your staff pass that shows the name of your centre.
What will happen next?
A library account will be set up and you can collect your card once the details are on the system. Then you can visit a library to choose your own material. Find out more about the services we offer for playgroups and nurseries.

By applying for a registered childminder’s membership you will be able to borrow more resources for longer periods of time.
How do I join?
You will need to complete an application form at a Moray Library.
What do I need to join?
You will need your letter from the Council stating that you are a Registered Childminder to apply for this membership.
What happens next?
You will need to go to into your local library to get your card and PIN. This PIN will give you access to the e-resources where you will be able to manage your account, reserve library material and access ebooks, eaudiobooks and much more.
