Moray Woodland and Forestry Strategy

CONSULTATION September 2024 - Moray Council in partnership with Scottish Forestry and Highlands and Islands Enterprise are consulting on the draft Moray Forestry and Woodland Strategy 2024 . Comments on the draft Strategy should be sent to Localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk by 5pm on 22nd November 2024.

CURRENT STRATEGY - Moray Council has worked in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Scottish Natural Heritage and Moray Speyside Tourism in the preparation of the Moray Woodland and Forestry Strategy Supplementary Guidance.

The Strategy is intended to identify the key issues affecting forestry in Moray, highlight the opportunities that exist across the sector, increase the profile of current activities and guide woodland creation to appropriate locations across the area.
