Evictions Advice

The possibility of being evicted often makes people feel anxious, frightened, depressed or unable to cope. We have a specialist Housing Options team that can give you free information, advice and help with realistic housing options. The first step is asking for help. Remember, the quicker you act, the more likely you are to keep your home.

We have put together a leaflet with advice for homeowners, private tenants and  social tenants, and we can offer support and advice to you.

The Scottish Government has been set up a Tenant Grant Fund to give financial help to tenants in social and private housing who are at risk of becoming homeless because they have fallen behind with rent payments during the pandemic.  Moray Council will administer and manage the scheme in Moray.  You can find more information here.
