2.11 Roof Signs

Roof sign shall be of size and type as approved by the Licensing Authority

Method of Inspection

• Check that the sign is:
  • the correct size
  • in the correct position
  • is operational
  • signage is in accordance with the Licensing specification
  • The begging lamp work in co-ordination with the Taxi meter
  • Check for tidy installation i.e. no loose wires, protruding screws etc

Reason for Rejection

• Incorrect size
• Incorrect position
• Not working
• Signage contravenes Licensing specification
• The begging lamp is operative or does not work in co-ordination with the Taxi meter
• A manual method of operating the begging lamp
• Untidy installation i.e. no loose wires, protruding screws etc
