There are four key pieces of legislation that relate to supporting children with additional support needs in Moray.

Standards in Scotland’s School Act 2000 (PDF)
This act helps us to review policies for children with special educational needs.

ASL Act 2004 (PDF)
This act provides the framework for supporting children with additional support needs.

The Equality Act 2010: Section 6 (PDF)
This act clarifies and improves the definition of disability discrimination and makes it easier to challenge discrimination when it occurs.

Children and Young People Scotland Act 2014 (PDF)
This act will change how we care for young people and covers Children’s Rights, Getting It Right for Every Child and Looked After Children.
