1. The Rank Order in its fullness (for all the currently existing jobs in your organisation with each jobs Job Evaluation Score and individual factor scores for the 13 factors). For clarity, this is a document that all councils who have signed up to use the SJC Job Evaluation Scheme hold and should be updating when necessary if new jobs are added or evaluations scores are changed.
2. How many job evaluations have been carried out in the following years: 2023, 2024, 2025 (please provide the job titles that were evaluated in each period).
a) Of the evaluations carried out, do the council record whether the grade stayed the same, moved up or moved down?

1. We do not share the full rank order nor total scores and factor level outcomes.This approach ensures the integrity of the evaluation process and maintains consistency across the council. In addition we are conscious of the Legal basis for Non-Disclosure under the following criteria for exemption:-
Section 38(1)(b) (Personal Information): Individual rank scores for specific jobs are exempt from disclosure under Section 38(1)(b) of FOISA. Releasing these scores could allow for the identification of an individual’s specific grade and salary placement, which constitutes third-party personal data. Disclosure would therefore contravene the data protection principles set out in the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Section 30(c) (Effective Conduct of Public Affairs): Disclosure of granular scoring data for individual roles would likely cause substantial prejudice to the effective conduct of public affairs. It could lead to a volume of speculative challenges that would disrupt the Council’s ability to maintain a consistent and fair job evaluation process.We do, however, share the factor levels for individual jobs with those (and their trade union reps if appropriate) wishing to appeal or considering appeal.
