FOI Request - Itemised Council Tax Breakdown for Band E

1. I request a detailed and itemised breakdown of all charges that contribute to the total Council Tax for a Band E property in Moray for the financial year 2026 to 2027 and to request the Annual Budget Book/Information leaflet.

Specifically, I would like the following information:

The amount levied by Moray Council and any precepts or contributions to other bodies. Water and wastewater charges as set by Scottish Water.

Amounts, by £'s and percentage the following:-

a) Education.

b) Social Care/Social Work.

c) Infrastructure: Roads, lighting, and waste management.

d) Police/Fire.

e) Culture and Leisure.

f) Any additional levies or charges included in the annual Council Tax bill.

Moray Council publishes a "Council Tax and budget information" leaflet every year, which contains details on the charges, reductions, levies/additional charges and the budget breakdown we're required to publish. The link to this leaflet is below.
