1. I would like to request information on the current cost of operating the dedicated school bus service running between Portgordon and Buckie Community High School, including the return journey. Please note that this request relates only to this specific route and does not include any other Buckie Community High School transport services.

2. In addition, I would like to request details of the anticipated financial savings associated with the proposed removal of this route. Please provide:

a) The total estimated savings across Moray resulting from school transport service reductions.

b) The specific estimated savings attributed to the removal of the Portgordon to Buckie Community High School route.

c) the cost of the upgrades which will be required to make a safe route, i.e lighting, upkeep, winter pavement treatment, making sure there is pavement full route.

1. Information not held - school transport between Portgordon and Buckie High School is part of a larger route. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

2. a) Information not held - there are a wide number of variables that influence school transport pricing. Exempt under S.17 FOISA

b) Information not held - there are a wide number of variables that influence school transport pricing and direct comparison between past and future contract arrangements are not possible. Exempt under S.17 FOISA

c) There are existing appropriate walking route arrangements which have been communicated to families. The council does intend to carry out some minor improvement works to some infrastructure; there is no cost information on these small works, but they will be carried out within available budgets.
