Information about the search and browsing apps available to pupils on school-issued iPads, including:

1. Which web browsers or search apps pupils are permitted or directed to use
2. Whether any child-safe or restricted search apps are used in place of standard web browsers
3. Whether search engines or search settings (for example SafeSearch) are enforced through mobile device management, filtering software, or other technical controls

1. Safari is the default web browser pupils are directed to use. Google Chrome is also available to schools upon request.

2. There are no child-safe or restricted search apps in place of the standard web browser.

3. All iPads are connected to the education network, and internet access is authenticated. Web browsing is controlled through dedicated filtering software, and all iPad internet traffic is routed through this system to ensure appropriate restrictions are applied.
