FOI Request - CCTV Cameras

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information.

1. Please can you tell me how many CCTV cameras the local authority operates and how many of these are produced by Chinese companies. Please can you show this as two figures.

2. Please also provide the total number of the council’s CCTV cameras that use either live or retrospective facial recognition and how many of these are produced by Chinese companies.

1. We have 564 cameras in total, we are in the process of getting asset surveys per site. Currently the information on how many of the cameras were manufactured in China is not held. Information not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).

2. None
