FOI Request - Councillors and Tax Payers

I am writing to you to request the following information.

1. The total councillor salaries for the last five financial years, and anticipated salary total to be paid for the 2025/26 financial year.

a) For avoidance of doubt, this should be a total figure of all the salaries of all councillors, including council leaders or provosts. It should include all remuneration. E.g. £4million. Do not break this figure down per councillor.

2. The number of council tax payers in the council area for 2025/26. Please provide the number of households, rather than the number of individual bill payers.
