1.a) The numbers below are the number of applications by category
31/12/2022 | 31/12/2023 | 31/12/2024 | 20/05/2025 | |
Rehousing List | No. Applications | No. Applications | No. Applications | No. Applications |
1. Homeless List | 104 | 105 | 120 | 122 |
2. Waiting List | 2083 | 2435 | 2773 | 2359 |
3. Transfer List | 528 | 620 | 672 | 538 |
Total: | 2715 | 3160 | 3565 | 3019 |
In addition, with the exception of homeless households who are normally rehoused in date order, we operate a needs based allocations policy. The total number of points on the application determines the position on the housing list at any given time and we do not award any points associated with length of time spent on the list. An applicant’s circumstances may worsen or improve during the life of their housing application, and this means their total number of points may be reassessed and their position can change frequently. Our allocations policy is available at www.moray.gov.uk/downloads/file125428.pdf.
b) Not held. We gather data on disability, ethnicity, religion/belief and sex. We do not currently collect nationality or residency data for those on the waiting list. This is something we make seek to do in the future. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.
