FOI Request - Weapons Seized within Schools 2025

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:

1.  Between January 1st 2024 and April 30th 2025, how many weapons were seized from school settings in your local authority area?
(Please breakdown the numbers by which setting they were seized from, for example (early years / primary / secondary school setting).

2.  Please provide a list of the weapons seized during that same period, for example knives / penknife / scissors / screwdrivers and include how many of each item were seized.

3.  How many of the above seizures resulted in a child being reported to the police?

1. Primary - 12; Secondary - 2
2. Scissors; Cutlery Knife; Multi-purpose Knife; Swiss Army Knife; Flick Knife; Kitchen Knife; Pen Knife; Steak Knife; Pencil Sharpener Blade

The number of each type of weapon below five. The low numbers associated with this response may result in the identification of individuals.
Therefore numbers between 1 and 5 have been redacted and this part of the response is exempt under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

3. All incidents were reported to the Police.
