FOI Request - Right to Buy Applications and Social Housing

1.  Please provide me with the number of Right To Buy applications received for council-owned homes, broken down by month from February 2024 to January 2025.

2.  If there is still time in this request, please also provide me with the total current number of social housing properties owned by the council, and the number on the same date in 2020.

Response 20-03-2025

1. Zero.  The Right to Buy ended in Scotland in 2016.

2. ‘Current’ number of social housing properties owned by the council as at 27/02/25 = 6384. 

Figures for 27/02/2020 are not held. Our report only goes as far back as 30/06/2020. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.
