FOI Request - Municipal Bus Services

I would like to request the following information specifically related to municipal bus services operated by the local authority:

1.  All plans, proposals, discussions, and agreed changes related to the alteration, reduction, or removal of bus routes within the council’s jurisdictional area in the past five years (from 2020 to present).

2.  Any internal reports, emails, or meeting minutes discussing these changes, including but not limited to:

o  The reasoning behind route reductions or changes
o  Any consultations carried out with the public or transport operators
o  Financial assessments related to route changes
o  Any alternative transport solutions proposed

3.  Any future planned changes or reductions to bus services, including:

o  Routes identified for potential cuts or reductions
o  Any proposals under discussion for route extensions, reductions, or removals
o  Expected implementation dates of any proposed changes

1.-3. Not applicable. Moray Council does not operate anything under the premise of a municipal bus service. Whilst aware of the 2019 Transport (Scotland) Act in relation to allowing Scottish local authorities to apply for and hold an Operator Licence, the Council has not pursued this option. On that basis, the questions above do not apply to Moray Council.
