Response 14-03-2025

1.a) & b) The conservation areas in both Garmouth and Kingston were first designated in 1976 by Moray District Council.  Unfortunately there is no information on record as to why these boundaries were originally selected and why certain properties may have been excluded. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

As these boundaries have not been reviewed since they were first designated it not possible to comment on individual properties.  A recent review of four of Moray’s conservation areas was recently undertaken and it is anticipated that more reviews will be undertaken in the future.
