1.  Please can you confirm the cost of councillor's wages for each of the last ten years?

2.  Please can you confirm the process of how these wages are calculated and the process for deciding the level of wages?

3.  Please can you confirm the level of expenses paid to councillors in each of the last ten years? Who signs off on these expenses?

4.  Please can you confirm the amount of expenses that have been claimed by council employees in the last five years please? A value for each year would be appreciated?

5.  Please can you confirm the land assets value that is owned by the council?

6.  Please can you confirm the income that is generated by the land owned by the council in the last five years?

7.  Please can you confirm how much land assets has been sold off in the last five years

2. Councillors wages are set nationally under the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Regulations. These are sent to us each year from COSLA (Convention of Scottish Local Authorities).

3. The information on level of expenses can be found in the annual accounts, remuneration report - see 1.

Expenses are signed off by the Head of HR, ICT and Organisational Development.

4. This information is published and available on the Moray Council website and is therefore exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information otherwise accessible. 5. Total value as at 31 March 2024 £498.732M, this does not include the Council’s Housing stock value.

6. The annual income generated from the Council’s industrial portfolio over the last 5 financial years is:

2022/2023 - £2,085,000
2023/2024 - £2,269,000

Please note this excludes income from any short-term hall, room or building let and also excludes income from the Council’s housing stock.
