1.  The total number of persons on the local authority’s list of persons who have registered interest with the authority with the intention of acquiring land in the authority's area for self-build housing, under Section 16 of the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019, as at 30 October 2023.

3.  The total number of planning permissions your local authority has granted for self-build and/or custom housebuilding between 31 October 2022 and 30 October 2023. Please provide number of permissions and total number of dwellings.

4.  The total number of dwellings for self-build and custom housebuilding which are expected to be delivered by your local authority as a result of site allocations or policies seeking a percentage of such forms of housebuilding on housing sites in an adopted local development plan for your local authority area (please provide local development plan period).

1. None. The Self Build Register was first launched in November 2023.

3. This information is not available. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

 However, the Moray Housing Land Audit 2023/2024 sets out the number of consents for small sites and those out with the main settlement (Rest of Moray); it is not possible to identify which of these are self-build or custom build housing.

4. There are no policies that seek a percentage of self-build or custom housebuilding. However, there are smaller sites identified in the Local Development which are suited to this type of development. A programmed supply for small housing sites is provided in the annual Housing Land Audit based on the historic completions and agreed rural communities contribution with Homes for Scotland. This is currently 60 units.
