4. Licensing Team:
a) We do not have a Licensing team as such - the licensing function is part of the remit of the Licensing and Regulatory Services section within the wider legal team. They have a varied remit which licensing forms part of, and admin support is provided from the admin resource for the full legal team, so staff there cover a range of work, including (but not restricted to) licensing. Other staff across the council also contribute to the licensing function as consultees on various licensing matters.
The L&R team has 1 Senior Solicitor, 2 Solicitors (1 post currently vacant) - as stated above involved in functions including but not restricted to licensing, 2 Licensing Standards Officers (remit is purely licensing - one civic, one liquor) and admin support covered by a number of different staff within the admin team who also cover a variety of tasks beyond licensing
