1.      Could you provide, for the last seven calendar years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 [latest available data]), how many allegations of food borne illness have been confirmed to have been caused by food consumed from food outlets/ businesses within the local authority?
2.      In regard to inspections and reinspection of food outlets/ businesses within the local authority, how many food law inspections are currently overdue and is there an average waiting time (in days) for environmental health officers to conduct (a) inspections and (b) reinspection’s of food outlets/ businesses within the local authority.
3.      How many food outlets/ businesses are awaiting inspection from environmental health officers within the local authority?
4.      How many newly registered businesses are currently awaiting inspection from environmental health officers within the local authority?

While these cases were in respect of a specific premises none of the cases were confirmed as food poisoning(in most cases specimens not submitted to confirm.

2. 67 programmed visits; 5 revisits.

We do not hold any information on average times. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.  However, we have a target of 28 days from due date for the inspection to be carried out.
