FOI Request - Housing Options Services

We are a group of researchers from the Economics Department of the University of Aberdeen Business School, who are working on a project focused on homelessness and housing insecurity. To this end, we are looking for the information on timing (either date or month of the year) in which your local authority has started to offer “Housing Options” services to deal with homeless approaches and applications.

We are aware that a large number of Scottish local authorities started to implement a “Housing Options” approach in 2010/2011, when Scottish local authorities were grouped into five regional knowledge sharing “Hubs” as an attempt to meet the “2012 Homelessness Target”. However, we are also aware that some local authorities already had in place a “Housing Options” approach prior to 2010/2011. We are therefore requesting the information regarding the timing of the implementation of the “Housing Options” policy in your specific local authority.
