Moray Council commissioned external consultants to carry out a vacant and derelict land study on five brownfield sites in Moray.  This included the following Local Development Plan (LDP) opportunity sites in Buckie: OPP6 The former Grampian Pork site, and OPP3 The former gas works at Barron Street.  The former Lemonade factory was not included in this study.  The purpose of the study was to help identify suitable options to redevelop previously developed land and work with UHI Moray to identify potential future opportunities and actions for the delivery of training for green jobs in Moray.  The cost of the study was £43,920 (including VAT) for three sites including the two in Buckie.  At this moment, the release of the plans would be seriously prejudicial to the effective conduct of public affairs if released before being discussed with landowners/developers and elected Members as the information is currently confidential and commercially sensitive. It is considered that the release of the plans would not be in the interest of public affairs. This information is therefore exempt under Section 30(c) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs as well as under Section 33(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Commercial Sensitivity.
