I would be grateful if you could supply to me the following information in digital format;
1. The total number of bikes that have been distributed to children as part of the Scottish Government’s Free Bike to School age children who cannot afford them, broken down by year from 2021 to current year.
2. The proportion of children as a percentage who have received a free bike under the Scottish Government’s scheme, broken down by year from 2021 to current year.
3. The total number of bikes by type distributed since 2021 to current year (e.g., standard, electric, adaptive)

1. Two organisations were awarded funding to provide recycled bikes to school pupils in Moray from 2023. ‘Angus Cycle Hub’ and ‘Tyred n Cranky’ approached the Moray Council Active Schools & Community Sport Team for support with promotion and the offer went live to schools in January 2024. Between January – August 2024 54 bikes were distributed, Tyred N Cranky provided bikes to twenty four primary 6 & 7 pupils, Angus Cycle Hub provided 30 bikes across Moray, with the majority going to the 12-15 years age group. I do not have any awareness of this opportunity available in Moray earlier than 2024.
2. We do not have data available on this, other than the data provided on age range in the answer above. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.
3. Between January – August 2024 54 standard bikes have been provided.
