1.  Between 1 April 2024 and 18 September 2024, how many (if any) new build properties were denied a building warrant due to the prospective residence having a wood burning stove? Please provide as much detail as possible regarding why the warrant was rejected.

1. No building warrants would have been denied for this reason during the period of 1 April 2024 and 18 September 2024.

For any relevant applications standard 6.11 would have been raised as part of building standards verification check and compliance would have been sought. This would have allowed for stoves to be provided for the purposes of emergency heating. It would not be feasible to check through applications to gather this information or how the verification process was resolved; however, no building warrants would have been denied or rejected on these grounds alone during this period.
