I would like to request official data regarding class sizes within your local authority. Specifically, I am seeking information on:

1. Trends in Class Sizes: Have class sizes increased over the past three years? If possible, please provide data on average class sizes for each year during this period.

2. Impact on Teacher Employment: Any information or documentation related to how changes in class sizes may have affected the necessity for employing teachers within your council.

1. 2023/24 - 6,675 pupils / 295 classes = 22.6 pupils per class
2022/23 - 6,824 pupils / 303 classes = 22.5 pupils per class
2021/22 - 6,889 pupils / 307 classes = 22.4 pupils per class
