1. What debt enforcement agencies does your council currently use?

2. Broken down by each debt enforcement agency, please can you tell me -  
a) How many complaints has your council received relating to the behaviour or conduct of the enforcement agencies/bailiffs/debt collectors who have been working on behalf of your council?
b) How many of the complaints has your council upheld?
c) If known, how many complaints were passed to the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman?

I would like this information regarding complaints received by the council since 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023.

1. Scott and Co provide Sheriff Officers and Debt Collection Services for the Council.

2. Information not held. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held. Complaints are normally made against the department who have referred a debt for collection, not about the collection company itself.  For complaints about their staff conduct, this would be dealt with in accordance with their own complaint handling procedure - see link https://www.scottandco.uk.com/new-events/make-a-complaint/
