FOI Request - Teaching Post Vacancies

1.  Please provide a list of the currently vacant teaching posts in your local authority which have been advertised on more than one occasion (i.e. been re-advertised).

2.  Further to question 1, how many times has each post been advertised? Each time it was advertised, how many applications were received?

3.  What is the longest that any currently vacant teaching post has been unfilled?

4.  How many teaching posts were re-advertised in (i) 2022-23 and (ii) 2023-24?

1.- 3. We would  have to look at al of the 54 schools, it would take 2 hours to look at all primary school posts (46 x 2 = 92hours) plus 4hrs per secondary school (8 schs x 4 = 32hrs). This task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this request.
