1. How many complaints were made about landlords from April 2019 to April 2024? Please break the results down by year (2019/20, 2020/21 etc.)

2. How many prosecutions were pursued against landlords from April 2019 to April 2024? Please again break this down by year.

a) What was the reason for each prosecution (e.g. failure to obtain the correct licence, failing to comply with improvement notices, etc.)

b) What was the outcome of each prosecution?

1. We record all complaints, visits, requests regarding housing issues on the Uniform system. There is not a specific code for recording "complaints made about landlords".
In order to answer this request, it would be necessary to manually search through all records in the period. This would involve searching through 1953 cases and would take more than 40 hours to do so. This task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
