Some parents tell us that it is becoming a bit of a challenge trying to keep up with the increasing number of educational apps their kids are using for school...eg, homework, classwork, etc.

Education Scotland tell me that individual councils have discretion over which apps are permitted and used in their schools, and hold this information.

Can I ask the Council:

1.  How many educational, and other, apps are currently approved by your local authority for use across primary schools?

2.  What are the names- ie, is there a list available - of the apps that are approved for use at your primary schools and what are they mainly used for?

3.  How many educational, and other, apps are currently approved by your local authority for use across secondary schools?

4.  What are the names – ie, is there a list available - of the apps that are approved for use at your secondary schools and what are they mainly used for?
