1.  As of October 2024, can you provide the number of Local Authority and Housing association vacant dwellings?

a) As of October 2024, can you provide the number of households on waiting lists for social housing?

2.  Between 1 October, 2023 and 1 October, 2024, can you provide the number of complaints the council has had regarding:

i) Damp
ii) Mould
iii) Disrepair

*If Damp and Mould are categorised together - please provide the total figure - if they are separately logged, please provide separate figures.

2a) How much has the council paid out on repairs as a result of each of the issues?

Response 29-10-2024 

1. As at 21/10/24 there are 84 Local Authority vacant dwellings

a) As at 21/10/24 there are 3526 households on our Housing List comprising 120 on Homeless List, 2738 on Waiting List and 668 on Transfer List.

2. Between 1 October, 2023 and 1 October, 2024, there were 30 complaints regarding damp and/or mould in total
Between 1 October, 2023 and 1 October, 2024, there was only 1 complaints regarding ‘disrepair’, however there were another 57 regarding ‘repair(s)’

a) between 1 October 2023 – 1 October 2024 spend =  £191,483.67 (126 properties) on damp and mould measures
between 1 April 2024 - 30 September 2024 = £108,162.46 (44 cases to date on damp and mould measures
