1.  Whether your council makes installing solar panels of new builds a condition of receiving planning permission?

2.  In each of the past five financial years the number of solar panels installed on new buildings?

1. Moray Council does not obligate developers to install solar panels on new builds.

2. Not held. The Council does not record which newly approved buildings do or do have solar panels. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

Many do however, and the enquirer could access the Moray Councils e-planning portal themselves and review previous planning approvals over the period requested to collate which do include solar panels.
