1. (clarification received – “info from past year”)
We record defects against our street gazetteer, with each defect logged against a Unique Street Reference Number (USRN) rather than a road name or number.  For urban roads there is generally a 1-1 relationship between street names and USRN’s (i.e,. 1 road = 1 USRN) but rural roads are generally split into sections so 1 road is covered by several USRN’s.
Given the above, the closest information we can provide is the number of USRN’s which have had at least 1 pothole recorded against them in the past year (15/10/23 to 15/10/24), which is 453.

2. The USRN’s included in the answer to Q.1 have a total length of 395.94 miles.
