I am looking for figures on the number of children (under 18) who have gone missing from care in your local authority area.

These figures should include all children in care including in residential care homes, residential schools, foster care, or in kinship or looked-after at home care as well as asylum accommodation where a young person is under-18.

1.a) I am looking for monthly figures for the whole of 2023 and for 1 January until 31 July 2024. I am looking for these figures to be broken down by age, gender and how long each child was missing for. 

b) Please indicate how many of these children were in the asylum system.

2. Please indicate how many of these children were assessed to be “not at home” and how many were reported to police as missing (if different).

3a) How many children and young people in your local authority are now signed up to the Philomena Protocol?
b) How many of these children are in the asylum system? 

Please provide this as an actual number, but also as a percentage of the total number of:
a) children considered to be at risk of going missing
b) asylum seeking children housed in your local authority area.
