Please can you advise if the Moray 10 year mineral survey (due for completion by end of February 2024) is complete.

If so please can you supply a copy of the document.

The latest Minerals Audit was completed in December 2023.

The audit is an internal monitoring tool that is not publicly available due to the commercial sensitivity of its contents. When engaging with operators as part of the audit process, assurances are given by the Council that the information submitted will be treated in the strictest confidence and that it would be used on an internal basis only. As such this information is considered commercially sensitive information and is therefore exempt under Section 33(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Commercial Sensitivity where disclosure would be likely to prejudice substantially the commercial interests of any person.

In respect of the Council’s obligations regarding landbanks, and as this information is publicly available, I can confirm that there is permitted minerals reserves of sand and gravel to September 2033 and to February 2064 for crushed (hard) rock.
