Dear Moray Council,
1. What was the total expenditure on in-housed foster care in the last 3 full financial years and the current expenditure as of 27/11/23, broken down by year? This refers to care provided by the Councils own in-house agency. This is not including Kinship care. Please provide a breakdown of all costs.
2.a) What was the total expenditure on purchased foster care in the last 3 full financial years and the current expenditure as of 27/11/23, broken down by year? This is referring to all expenditure on Independent Fostering Agencies, not including Kinship Care.
b) The average proportion of foster care placements in the last 3 full financial years, and the current average this year as of 27/11/23, in percentage terms, that were purchased from Independent Fostering Agencies?
3. The current number of looked after children as of 27/11/23 who are being accommodated via the local authority provider and the average number in the last 3 full financial years, broken down by year.
4.a) The current number of looked after children as of 27/11/23 who are being accommodated via purchased fostering service and the average number in the last 3 full financial years, broken down by year.
b) The exact number of children as of 27/11/23 in each of the contracts held by a purchased fostering service, specifying the agencies used.
