Could you confirm for each of the last three financial years:

1. How many complaints the local authority has received about private-sector landlords?

2. The number and type of enforcement actions taken against landlords where a complaint was upheld.

1. Not held in that format. The Computer system used for recording visits to houses does not differentiate between complaints against private-sector landlords and any other request for a visit. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

From January 2021 to the present, there have been 1043 housing cases created on the system.

2. To answer this request, each record would require to be checked. This would take approximately 3 minutes per record and would take over 50 hours. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost, we are therefore unable to comply with your request.
