FOI Request - Swimming Pools within School Estate

I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information:

1. The number of swimming pools operated by the Council or arm-length organisations affiliated with the Council, such as Community Trusts (e.g. sports centre, leisure pools)
2. The number of swimming pools within the school estate

I would also be grateful if you could include a short paragraph explaining the extent of access available to the private/third sector (e.g. swimming lesson providers, aquatics clubs etc.) to pools within the school estate.

1. There are 5 pools  - Buckie, Forres, Keith, Lossiemouth & Speyside - that are run by the council. Information on all our pools is available on the Council's website and is therefore exempt under section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, information otherwise accessible. There is also a pool in Elgin within the Moray Leisure Centre (MLC). MLC occupy the site under a ground lease where they are responsible for the building and repairs. They have a peppercorn rent and receive an annual grant from the Council to subsidise operation of the swimming pool and ice rink. 2. Of the council-run pools listed in the link above, the pools at Lossiemouth High & Speyside High are located within the school buildings. The others are located in a separate building within school grounds.
