I would like to ask:

1. In this council area, how many terminally ill people were waiting for care packages at the end of August 2023?

2. In this council area, what was the average (mean) completed wait for a care package for a terminally Ill person during the 2023 calendar year so far?

3. In this council area, what was the longest completed wait for a care package for a terminally ill person during the 2022 calendar year so far?

4. In this council area, how many terminally ill people were waiting for social care assessments at the end of August 2023?

5. In this council area, what was the average (mean) completed wait for a social care assessment for a terminally ill person during the 2023 calendar year so far?

6. In this council area, what was the longest completed wait for a social care assessment for a terminally ill person  during the 2023 calendar year so far?

Response 11-10-2023

1.-6. Unfortunately we don’t have the classifications in place to be able to answer questions these questions. As such, information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

7. 38 people are recorded as having deceased as the reason for closing their entry on the brokerage list while waiting for a social care package in 2023.

8. 24 people have died while awaiting a social care assessment for care at home services.
