1. Please provide information regarding the input by Moray Council to the Nortrail project which finished in 2006, for the duration of the project.

1. Aberdeenshire Council was the lead partner for the Moray Firth Trail which was part of the wider Nortrail project.  Moray Council was one of the six other partners and a representative from Moray was on the steering group.

The steering group met at least 4x per year and was responsible for project planning, monitoring and reporting and budget management.  

Moray Council was responsible for collating information for the database and booklet.  Information was collected regarding coastal heritage sites and features in Moray.

Moray Council contributed £4000 to the project and later agreed to contribute £1500 towards the recruitment of Heritage Development Officer.
