FOI Request - Sewage in Schools

1.  Please confirm whether any schools in your area have reported leaks which have resulted in sewage coming into the school buildings (through ceilings, walls etc)

2.  If the answer to question 1 is yes, please provide a breakdown of a) which schools, b) how many times they have reported this happening since 2019 and c)where within the school these leaks have taken place

1. Due to the way our repairs are recorded there is no specific recording of leaks which have resulted in sewage coming into school buildings. A leak of this kind would be recorded as a drainage problem on our systems, which could be for a multiple of reasons. To review each individual work order to check would be time/cost excessive. This task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost), we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
